Project Overview
Tina Pollycut, a lifelong soup lover, wanted to create a CSA-style service delivering homemade soups made from fresh ingredients gathered from her land in Shasta County. She needed branding that felt personal, warm, and memorable, reflecting her mission and passion.

My Role

  • Brand identity—including logo, color palette, brand typography, business cards, marketing materials, website support, and booth signage.

  • Ongoing consultation for business growth and social media marketing strategies, supporting her expansion into new markets and products.

  • Currently redesigning her booth with custom illustrations for new product—Buddha Bowls.

Finals

The branding was inspired by the idea that “homemade soup is a feeling…” We tapped into the warmth and charm of a nostalgic 1970s Grandma’s kitchen—thinking of those cozy, wood plaque art-lined walls. The hand-drawn logo used Tina’s old wooden ladle as reference, and the color palette of rich reds, pinks, and purples captures the heart and warmth she pours into her craft.

Results

Tina’s highly-recognizable branding is praised for its unique, personal touch, which has built a loyal local following and helped her expand to three more farmers markets and a local bakery. The best feedback comes from Tina herself: “Through her attentive design process, Janelle was able to articulate the precise look and feel that I imagined. Janelle’s interest in her clients’ dreams is genuine.”
