Project Overview/Approach
Salon owner Ron Peyton wanted his salon to stand out on a rapidly gentrifying street where new businesses—including salons—were popping up everywhere. Despite being a long-standing fixture, the salon was getting lost among the newer establishments. As a friend familiar with my work, Ron gave me complete creative freedom to rebrand the salon. The result was an Egyptian/art deco aesthetic inspired by a magical story of dragonflies along the Nile, blending both charm and mystique.

My Role

  • Developed visual branding: New logo, building signage, large-scale/hand-drawn window art, and business cards.

  • Coordinated with the signage installer to ensure proper sizing and installation.

Results

  • The rebranding made this stand-out salon more memorable and special, driving increased walk-ins and organic word-of-mouth marketing.
